Transporeon links AI agents with end-to-end logistics control
Transporeon is positioning AI agents as a connective layer for logistics operations rather than as a tool limited to a single planning task. The Trimble-owned company has added capabilities across freight procurement, transport planning, execution, shipment visibility, yard management and settlement, with the aim of reducing manual hand-offs between systems and teams.
Trimble Arc Agent is designed to work across Transporeon, email and back-office applications. Through natural-language interaction, users can retrieve transport data, update records and initiate selected actions. Guardrails and human-in-the-loop controls are intended to keep approval-dependent activities under operational control, while workflow visibility supports review and audit.
Resilience through connected decisions
The new capabilities address several points where fragmented information can slow industrial supply chains. Market Insights Spot Rate on Demand broadens freight benchmarking to standard and specialised equipment and can produce draft lane briefs and market summaries. NextGen Freight Procurement for Road replaces spreadsheet-heavy tendering with a structured process for full truckload and less-than-truckload buying. AI-assisted preparation can turn lane and price data into a draft RFQ, while flexible bid sheets support more complex LTL pricing.
Enhanced Autonomous Procurement adds AI-generated offers to carrier quote collection. A standalone Transport Planner is intended for high-volume plans, including milk runs and situations involving several capacity constraints. In execution, Autonomous Execution can follow up carriers and request missing paperwork, extending automation into the operational work that follows a plan.
Maritime Intelligence adds risk indicators from shipping, port, weather and geopolitical sources to Ocean Visibility. For manufacturers and other industrial operators, the practical value is earlier awareness of potential disruption rather than relying only on late status updates.
Operational continuity beyond the transport order
Transporeon is also connecting transport processes with supplier, yard and financial workflows. “Living Purchase Orders” allow supplier changes to update transport and yard plans before a vehicle departs. Advanced Trailer Orchestration provides a live yard map and prioritised work queues. eDelivery Note digitises delivery records, while Freight Audit SelfService compares e-invoices with execution data and supports AI-assisted discrepancy review.
Most of the portfolio announced is already available, including Transport Planner, Transport Execution, Supplier Collaboration, Freight Audit SelfService, Autonomous Procurement, NextGen Freight Procurement for Road and Market Insights. Maritime Intelligence is initially available, with further port and weather functions planned for the end of 2026. Commercial rollout of Advanced Trailer Orchestration and eDelivery Note is scheduled through October.
